We have already commented on the importance of the paella in Spain. But we have not talked about the most typical, traditional and basic plate that families in Spain eat. The paella in old times was a plate that many poor people ate because it had rice and instead of all that seafood it had rabbit, chicken and duck, on occasion it might have had snails. Today, the paella is one of the most famous and sought after platters that tourists from all over the world come to Spain to try. Normally every single place has a big paella and that is the one that is offered all day. But, you must be careful because if you want a paella that is done on the spot when you order it then you must ask if they do it the same day, that moment or maybe the day before. The best paella to have is the one that is done right when you order it. The best place to eat a paella is were they sell lots of rice. In Valencia you find the best paellas in different restaurants. For example, Restaurant “El Forcat,” which is right next to the Serranos tower. In second plce we have the restaurant “La Pepica.” Next to the beach there is the Restaurant “La Alegría de la Huerta” which also has some really good paella. “La Marcelina” which was established in 1888 has a great paella that you might want to try. Last of all the “Rall.” Now, go try some.
